A Fresh Start for Allan's Coffee
After 47 years of service, Allan's Coffee will be closing its original coffee shop at 500 SW 2nd Street in Corvallis, Oregon after lengthy but stalled negotiations with the building's current property owners. Allan’s Coffee will be installing a mobile coffee trailer to continue to serve the community through the summer while it looks for a new downtown Corvallis location.
In November of 2018 Allan Stuart, founder and namesake of Allann Brothers Coffee, hung up his coffee roasting hat for the last time and moved on to retirement. As we look forward to the future, we have sought to renew and strengthen our relationships with both the communities we serve and our business partners that make it all possible.
In August of 2018, we began negotiations to renew our lease at our original home in Corvallis at 500 SW 2nd Street. This store was the first Corvallis coffee shop opened by Allann Brothers Coffee in 1972 and for 47 years it was where we served at least 3 generations of neighbors, friends and family. We worked hard for 9 months to find an amicable agreement with the current landlord, however they have chosen to go in a different direction. In light of this, we are announcing the closure of this location on Sunday, 26 May 2019.
We are sad to leave our original location but look forward to continuing to serve the Corvallis neighborhood for many more years to come. Allan’s Coffee is currently searching for a new downtown home and have some promising options already in the works. In the meantime, we are in the permitting process to place our coffee trailer in our parking lot where we already have a long term lease. We hope to be serving our coffee in 45 days or less.
